Can we say CHAOS!

Whew... I wanted to stop and just quickly recap all the craziness that has been going on as we prepare to have baby girl arrive. FIRST and foremost, since I'm set to be induced this coming Thursday (baby girl will be 37 weeks 5 days), we had to re-schedule and change both grammies flights. Grammy Magnolia arrived Sunday night (at a cost of $300..ouch). Ang Grammy Vivi was to arrive Wednesday night. BUT, of course, nothing could be easy for us so yesterday we learned of a massive snow storm that is set to crippled NYC much like that crazy blizzard we had over Christmas. And its going to hit Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Yes, the same Wednesday Grammy Vivi is set to fly out. Sooooo daddy had to scramble to change Grammy Vivi's flight and was able to have her fly in on Monday night (at a cost of almost $300. ouch.) Poor Grammy Vivi only had one hour to pack before she had to race to the airport! Chaos!!

So all day Monday, Grammy Magnolia and mommy ran errands, went to get mommy's blood and urine tests done and just were go go go all day. Then when we got home we had to clean and organize baby's stuff since mommy hasn't been able to do anything thanks to bedrest. Luckily we got lots done but poor Grammy is all achy and tired. But she's like an energizer bunny. Just go go go! Grammy Vivi arrived safely and today, Tuesday both Grammies accompanied mommy to her last visit with Dr. G before the induction. The appointment was for Wednesday, but thanks to that lovely incoming massive storm (sarcasm), it was switched to today. He said mommy's bloodwork was normal and he's just waiting for urine results. Sadly though he was very concerned about mommys blood pressure (138/90) and he said he bets my urine will show poor results. So he said to prepare because depending on how bad the urine results are, he may want to induce Wednesday night. That's right, the same night as the massive snow storm headed our way! So this will be verrrry interesting. If the urine returns ok, then we'll schedule the induction for Thursday. So we are praying to at make it to Thursday. It's going to be really tricky either way because the storm is going to dump lots of snow so we really dont know how we will get to the hospital. We'll see!!

While at the dr's, mommy expressed her fears to Dr. G about the cervadil he's going to use to soften the cervix and just her overall fears about possible c-section. He told her not to worry it will work out and the cervadil will soften the cervix and pitocin will then be given to commence the contractions. Mommy is sad at how artificial this labor will be but there's nothing we can do since her blood pressure is endangering her and baby. As mommy was leaving she talked to Dr. G's wife, Linda (who's also his assistant/office manager) and she really put mommy at ease. She said Dr. G's c-section rates are one of the lowest around and he really is patient and spend lots of time at the hospital. That means, he's not one of those dr.s (that there seems to be an abundance of in NJ) that will look at his watch and scare mom's into c-sections just because he wants to go home. Thank you Jesus! That really put mom at ease and she left the office feeling much better.

So now all we can do is patiently pray and wait and hope that Thursday is the day and that labor and delivery goes as planned. Tonight we are meeting with baby girls pediatrician to get to know him before she arrives and ask him questions. That appointment was also supposed to be Wednesday but thanks to you storm, its been changed to today!
