The Size of a GRAPE!

So exciting! Momma gets these weekly emails from BabyCenter and looks forward to them each Wednesday! Just today she got one saying the baby is 9 weeks old and the size of a grape! She automatically forwards them to daddy and updates the family. The baby is now known as "Uvita". It no longer has a tail so its no longer a "tadpole". The heart has formed all its four chambers and its genitals are beginning to show but we won't be able to find out the sex until a month or two.

Mommy has been feeling a whole heck of a lot of different feelings and emotions. Its truely like a roller coaster. The nausea has been moderate. She can't imagine how some poor women have it so bad they puke every day. Right now she has nausea days about 5 days of the week. There will be the odd day or two where she feels completely non-pregnant and she gets scared! She sometimes has cravings. Lately its been Taco Bell. She hadn't had Taco Bell in years and now suddenly we had it three times last week! So wierd. All she wants is two hard shelled tacos and small nachos. She sometimes gets headaches and was worried it was her blood pressure but luckily it wasn't. Her blood pressure is fine. She's been working hard at eating only nutricious healthy things for Uvita because these weeks are super important for him. He's forming his brain and spine and it needs a lot of good things to grow normally. She also takes her prenatals with DHA religiously. Oh and lets not talk about the crankiness. Momma is so easily irritated right now but she tries really hard to suppress it. Daddy has been so patient with her so mommy is the luckiest girl in the world. Just three or four more weeks until she's out of the first trimester and we get to celebrate and share the little secret with the world! And also hopefully these not so lovely symptoms will subside! We can't wait!
