We are in LOVE. On Monday, July 19, 2010 we went in for our 2nd prenatal visit and ultrasound. We are measuring now at 12 weeks 2 days. Little frijolito was the cutest sweetest thing on the face of this earth. It was SUPER active and kept leaping, jumping and kicking. We couldn't believe our eyes for a second! Then the doctor was like "Oh my what a very active baby you have! It won't stay still. I need to measure it!" Then we all cracked up laughing. It was a truely special moment because grammy Magnolia was visiting (Daddy flew her in from California as a surprise for Marylynn's 30th birthday) and got to see the little baby. She was so happy and excited and kept saying "Wow" because the baby kept leaping, punching, kicking! The doctor said its because she kept pressing down on my belly and it disturbed the baby! She said it was all reflex right now and not a conciencious move from the baby. But we were still happy and excited. Grammy Magnolia jumped in and asked the doctor for the print out of the picture and Dr. Wong (the sweetest doctor on earth) said "Sure!". Silly grammy!
We told Grampy, Grammy Vivi, and Auntie Angie and Jenny and they were all very happy with the news of the hyper baby. Grammy Vivi seemed very pleased at the wild baby almost as if her prayers are being answered. All along she's been hoping for a super hyper baby just like daddy was so he can pay back all the grief she made her go through! Mommy is very nervous and doesn't want that because she was an angel (well excpet for biting people but we wont get into that :) Auntie Angie and grampy and Jenny keep asking if they can start telling people but mommy is like NO! She already told them the magical day of announcing it will be July 29th so everyone just has to sit tight. But its becoming more and more hard because everyone is bursting at the seems with excitment! Even daddy! haha! And mommy! We all just want to shout it out at the top of our lungs but we can't. We need to wait till we're completely out of the woods and the first trimester when the miscarriage rate drops DRASTICALLY. Pray for us!
Anyways, hopefully we'll scan the ultrasound picture soon but the baby looked great! The doctor gave us a new due date of January 29th, 2011! No longer a February baby! So neat! On Wednesday we will be going for our Nuchal Translucency screening. Mommy is very worried about this one because it detects the chance for Down Syndrome. Everyone will be praying that all comes out perfect.
